As we were passing through heading to Hawkinsville, we decided to look for a BBQ spot! Shugg's BBQ came up on Yelp! We stopped and ordered a BBQ plate and pulled pork sandwich meal. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! Whether you are local or just passing through. I highly recommend you taking a pit stop at Shugg's BBQ. The food was outstanding and price was amazing! Service was fast and friendly.

The saying goes that you know it's the best bbq in town depending on how diverse the crowd is. If the parking lot has work trucks, mini vans, and banker-mobiles you're probably in for some good pig. Shuggs fits the bill. Most of their business goes through the drive through, and when I opened the door I was half expecting to walk into the kitchen since the door is unmarked. You order from the same cash register that services the drive through and they only take visa and MasterCard. The 91% scored on the health safety report is reflected by the old decor and plastic checkered plastic table cloths... on BOTH tables.. a third booth is available and a couple bar stools. This all may sound negative but it's really a build up to the fact that these are all the markers of a place to get a classic bbq sandwich on a simple white bun. I'd grade the potato salad as average to storebought, but the tea is top notch. Looking forward to trying some more menu items next time I'm in town.
We love Shug's! Great bbq, and the best homemade Brunswick stew you'll ever put in your mouth! I happen to know the recipe is a family one passed down from the owner's mother. You won't be disappointed!
AWSOME BBQ!!!! A must try if you are around Eastman. The prices are not bad either. The owner actively works on location and is sure to keep up the quality. They also cater for groups as well. We usually pick up BBQ from Shugs at least once a week.
